Middle Ages – Modern period – Building archaeology – Stratified environment – Castle

Presentation

As an archaeological research manager specialising in the archaeology of buildings, I manage preventive archaeology operations (diagnostics, excavations and building studies). My research focuses on the urban environment and stone construction. I mainly work in stratified and/or built urban contexts. Following a number of archaeological surveys carried out in the town of Lons-le-Saunier, I co-directed a PCR on “the urban area of Lons-le-Saunier from its origins to the early Middle Ages: using ancient archaeological data and data from preventive archaeology”.

Publications of articles presenting the results of preventive archaeology operations:

  • Fixin church (colloque de Mâcon : Du traité de Verdun à l’an Mil)
  • Digs in la maison à Tourelle de Delle
  • Building survey in the Hôtel de Rosières in Besançon (séminaire méthodologique de l’Inrap)
  • Stone construction in Besançon

Projects

  • PCR sur « l’agglomération de Lons-le-Saunier des origines au haut Moyen Âge : exploitation des données archéologiques anciennes et issues de l’archéologie préventive » : Direction
