MAVON Christophe (IGR)

The pole Calculation, Modelling and Radionuclides (CMR) of Chrono-Environnement laboratory consists of four Technical Units distributed on the site of Besançon and that of Montbéliard. It is livened by about ten researchers all of the domain of the physics-chemistry or the physics.
Its mission is to support the research themes of the laboratory under a mainly theoretical aspect using tools of quantum chemistry and digital simulation in domains so varied as the radiotherapy, the radiation/materials interactions or the oxydazing mechanisms in biological material. It also has a measurement unit of radioactivity in the environment localized to Besançon and to the Underground Laboratory of Modane for the measure of the radioactive pollution in ecosystem and for the dating of the sedimentary archives (anthropocène).
Concerning the equipment, the pole has of numerous hight-performance computers and codes of calculation for simulation aspects. For the experimental aspects and the routine measures, the platform has various tools of characterization of materials and devices of spectrometry (Raman, UV-visble, Gamma).
