COMBINE fits in the context of the management of polluted sites and soils (SSP). Currently, it is based on independent health (HRS) and environmental risk assessments (ERAs) based primarily on measurements of total contaminant levels in soils.
.COMBINE aims to confront the health risk assessments (HRS) and environmental (ERE) of metal contaminants in soils along 3 axes:
(1) coupling: the SET-ex situ index for the ERE (sum of the excesses of transfer of contaminants from the medium to the snail) and the UBM (unified BARGE method) in vitro test for the ERS, to propose bridges between ERE and HRS until then realized independently.
(2) Model and compare the influence of soil parameters on the test responses used (SET, UBM) for a priori estimation of the risks of soil contaminants.
(3) initiate the standardization of the SET index (ISO TC 190) to answer the needs of the actors in charge of soil management and urban planning and complete the list of tools that can be used in the management policy for contaminated sites and soils and the TRIAD standard (ISO 19204).
