Presentation
I am a metamorphic petrologist who uses geochemical tracers and thermodynamic modeling to study fluid-rock interactions processes. Fluids play an extremely important role during many processes and environments and I use now exhumed rocks to study:
- the generation of nautral hydrogen during alteration of crustal and mantle rocks
- the importance of the fluid composition on the high pressure serpentinization in subduction zones
- the impact of the complexity of fluid thermodynamic formulation on the stability of minerals during fluid-rock interactions
- the impact of fluids on the long term rheology of the continental crust
- the mechanics of fluid movement during hydration and dehydration reactions
Since september 2023, I hold a tenure-track associate professor position (Chaire Professeur Junior) at the University Marie & Louis Pasteur in Besançon (France) where I work on combining experimental and numerical modling to study the generation of natural hydrogen during the alteration of mantle and crustal rocks.
