After graduating from the Ecole Supérieure de Biotechnologie in Strasbourg as a biotechnology engineer and obtaining a master’s degree in Synthetic Biology, I began my thesis in October 2022 in the Chrono-Environnement laboratory, under the supervision of Dr Nicolas Capelli and Prof Michel Chalot. My research aims to improve our knowledge of the mechanisms involved in the accumulation and tolerance of mercury by rhizospheric microorganisms in order to better understand their role in the biotransformation and transfer of this contaminant in soils. The thesis is also part of the BIOSYSMO project funded by the European Union.
