Behavioural ecology, Arctic ecology, Breeding strategy, Ornithology

As a 3rd year PhD student in the Chrono-Environment laboratory, I study the behavioural ecology of Arctic birds. More specifically, I am studying inter-individual variations in parental care in Sanderlings (Calidris alba), i.e., reproductive strategies and incubation.

The Sanderling is a bird belonging to the sandpiper group, breeding in the Arctic and more specifically in Greenland. The sandpipers are currently in steep decline, being particularly affected by particularly affected by global changes that are having a major impact on conditions in the Arctic.
