Species distribution modelling, Species-area relationships, Species-habitat relationships, human pressures, human footprint, anthropocene, spatial-temporal analyses, R-scripting, programming in Pyton.

I have a background in Macroecology, Landscape Ecology, and Biodiversity, and my research interests are focused on species diversity, particularly birds, at the landscape level across large scales such as continents and globally. My research has concentrated on environmental drivers, including those caused by human activities, and their impact on biodiversity. I have used advanced spatial-temporal statistical analyses, as well as programming skills in R and Python, to investigate the effects of land-use/land cover changes on biodiversity. I have earned a Ph.D. in Science from the University of Ottawa in 2017, as well as two Master’s degrees in Science from UNICAMP, Brazil in 2002 and uOttawa in 2013, respectively. I have completed three years of postdoctoral studies in Canada and France. I am proficient in English, French, and Portuguese, and I have basic conversational skills in Spanish. Currently, I am based in Besançon, France.

Current projects:

  • [DYNABIO]: Functional role of biodiversity and spatio-temporal spatio-temporal trajectories of ecosystems in response to global change
  • [SOPAST]: Towards better predictions of Biodiversity lOss fRom humaN prEssures (BORNE)
