Rock mechanics – Fluid circulation – Internal structure of fault zones – Changes in the physical and chemical properties of rocks
Presentation
My research focuses on the physical and chemical processes involved in fluid flow in rocks and their implications for fault and earthquake mechanics. My research activities combine i) structural analysis of fault zones in the field, ii) laboratory experiments to measure the physical properties of rocks and their evolution during metamorphic reactions and iii) hydromechanical and chemical modeling.
