Rock mechanics – Fluid transfert – Numerical modelling – Experimental – Earthquakes – Subduction zones
Presentation
My PhD thesis focuses on understanding the transfer processes of metamorphic fluids released during dehydration reactions. I study the mechanisms of generation and maintenance of fluid overpressures from dehydration reactions in the lithosphere and their role in triggering earthquakes via laboratory experiments, numerical modelling and a field study of alpine ophiolits.
