I am a lecturer in the archaeology of Roman Gaul at the Université Franche-Comté.
My research at the CNRS Chrono-Environnement laboratory focuses on ancient domestic architecture, based on a multi-faceted approach : on the one hand, an analysis of the materials and construction from the end of the Republic to the end of the High Empire in Gaul; on the other, the analysis of dwellings and their integration into the ancient city. He is currently conducting research into the urban planning and military history of the Roman colonies of Lyon and Vienne through programmed excavations and geophysical surveys.
Projects :
- Archaeological excavation of the Clos de la Visitation in Lyon (69): military campof the urban cohort of Lugdunum; Protohistoric and colonial occupation of Lyon.
- PC14 archaeological dig on the Bibracte oppidum (71): Roman aristocratic house; proto-historic residential area.
- Excavation of an urban quarter in the Roman colony of Vienne: Le site du Bourg in Sainte-Colombe (69). Roman aristocratic house ; shops and workshops; public buildings.
