Phytomanagement, trace elements, root exudates, bioremediation, soil-plant interactions

The general theme of my research is the dynamics of trace elements (TE) and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in soil-plant-microorganismsoil-plant-microorganism systems. More specifically my research activities focus on: i) the identification and hierarchisation of the biogeochemical processes associated with soil-plant transfer and responsible for the dynamics of organic matter and trace metals, ii) the study of remediation strategies using remediation strategies using physiological, ecophysiological and molecular tools for restoring biodiversity, and iii) the identification of medium/long-term management methods for the rehabilitation of marginal soils using phytomanagement strategies.
