Modelling to support control for fuel cell and electrolyzer system
The operation of fuel cells and electrolyzers involves strongly coupled multiphysics phenomena. Efficient multiphysics modelling is therefore essential for the design of advanced control strategies. In this talk, after reviewing the main paradigms for multiphysics modelling, a control-oriented modelling approach—ranging from model development to experimental validation—will be presented in detail. The applicability of the proposed framework will then be illustrated through several case studies. Finally, a newly emerging control-oriented modelling paradigm, which efficiently hybridizes governing equations with real-time data, will be discussed.
